Ramen Is Art

Recently, I’ve been going to Yakiniku Hormon Gon quite often.

It’s a yakiniku restaurant where you grill beef, pork, and chicken yourself over a shichirin (a small charcoal grill). I didn’t expect it, but sometimes they also make ramen.

I’ve already tried it three times — and today I want to show you two of my favorites.

1.Salt Ramen

The first one is their salt ramen.

The soup is based on katsuo dashi, so it has a light seafood flavor. It’s delicate but rich at the same time. The chicken topping matches the soup perfectly and brings everything together in a very gentle way.

Simple, but beautifully balanced.

2.Soy Sauce Ramen

Recently, I tried their soy sauce-based ramen.

I think the soup is animal-based — maybe chicken or beef — and it contains chiyu (chicken oil). The surface of the soup was incredibly clear and shiny.

When it arrived, I just thought:

“Wow… ramen is art.” 😂

The clarity, the shine, the aroma — everything felt carefully designed.

If you get the chance, you should definitely try it
